You gotta ask him: Why does he want to have kids?
Is he thinking of having kids just to play with them?
Is he going to get up to feed the baby 2 or more times at night?
Will he get up to comfort them if the baby happens to be colicky?
And when baby need to see the doc, he is willing to take urgent leave to take baby to the doc?
Etc.
Or are you expected to do most of the care-giving?
Are you willing to give up working to look after the kid, if nec?

I totally agree. Especially Mr Pinky Bear seems to travel overseas quite a bit too.

Also, having kids involves a lot of work, money, responsibility and TLC. You will have to be ready to give up your lifestyle that you're living now when kids come along.

I do love kids but at the moment I don't think my hubby and I are ready for kids just yet.

Mr Pinky Bear thinks that having kids is the natural extension of expanding the family and someone to carry down the family name Rolling Eyes

Oh he also thinks that there will be someone to look after us when we grow home. I told him to stop dreaming I be happy if the kid can look after themselves

He will have to feed the baby at night coz I am like a corpse when I fall asleep Laughing Good luck trying to wake me up in the middle of the night

100% he will be up before me so if he is home he will be the poor parent getting up at night

I know what you meant by that. Not many girls doing mechanical engineering. Civil engineering is not so bad. Nowadays more girls do civil engineering than it used to be in the past.

Hey elindra,

I think BOTH of you must want to have children before you go ahead. If either of the parents are unwilling, the child will be at the receiving end.

I think there will be some barriers, psychologically and/or financially and I don't think it's possible to resolve all. It needs a step of faith too.
